The properties of PVC mesh fabric

Mesh fabric is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and has a woven structure. The material is extremely weather-resistant. The print will stay lightfast and resist fading for up to two years thanks to its UV resistance. The PVC material makes colours stand out bright and bold, but details are reproduced less sharply due to the mesh structure. The material is much better suited to display head-turning designs on a large area than for small and intricate images with great detail.
This is why mesh fabric is mainly used for banners, e.g. to advertise on scaffolds, construction fences, barricades, bridge railings or building façades. Mesh fabric has the advantage of being permeable to air: Mesh fabric banners even withstand strong winds and are highly tear-resistant.

Properties of PVC mesh fabric

300 gsm mesh fabric is very lightweight. The smooth PVC has a tactile mesh structure. The flexible material is similar to rigid cloth and shines when it moves under light. Mesh fabric is easy to clean with a gentle cleaning agent and water.

Tips on choosing PVC mesh fabric

What is the best way to install PVC mesh fabric banners?

1. Using eyelets to hang the mesh fabric banner

To make setting up your mesh fabric banners as easy as possible, you can choose to have your banner hemmed and fitted with eyelets at 50 cm intervals. To do so, simply choose the desired option at "Hems/Eyelets" on the product page of PVC mesh fabric banners. With the "Hems and eyelets along the edges" options, the eyelets are applied on all four sides of the banner.

2. Installing PVC mesh fabric banners using the "standard" tie-down set

Go to "Additional options" and there to "Tie-down set" on the product page of mesh fabric banners. Choose "standard tie-down set" to have black bungee loops delivered with your mesh fabric banners. Use these loops to securely set up your banners at the desired location in no time. The loop size is between 20 cm and 22 cm approximately. We deliver the matching number of bungee loops for your banner size.

3. Mounting PVC mesh fabric banners using the "exclusive" tie-down set

Go to "Tie-down set" and choose the "exclusive tie-down set" option to have black bungee hooks and cords supplied with your mesh fabric banners. These will withstand any weather and make sure that your banners are securely fastened and stretched taut.
One bungee cord is between 60 and 80 cm long; the number of delivered bungee hooks depends on the size of the banners ordered. We always supply a sufficient number of bungee hooks to make sure that the banner is mounted ideally.
