Your system does not accept my VAT registration number. What can I do?

Please make sure that you have entered your VAT registration number (also VAT ID or sales tax identification number) correctly in terms of content and form:

• The respective two-digit country code must precede the alphanumeric digits, e.g. “SI” for “Slovenia”.
• The VAT registration number must not contain spaces, punctuation marks or special charters.

The European Commission provides a tool to check the validity of your VAT registration number in a specific country.
